Part of the Tura Arutura ecosystem

The home of step.

Train, rehearse, film and belong — a studio for Sean-nós, Irish and global dance, and the birthplace of the iStéip learning platform.

Ballet dancers practising at a barre in a bright studio

The studio makes the students, the curriculum and the community — the platform carries them to the world. Steip ar steip — step by step.

Everything begins on the studio floor. Classes become filmed lessons, lessons become curriculum, and curriculum becomes the iStéip platform — carrying every step from this room to schools and dancers everywhere.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need experience to join a class?

No. Classes run for every level and every age — complete beginners are as welcome as seasoned dancers. Tell us where you're starting from and we'll point you to the right class.

Can companies book rehearsal space?

Yes. Solo artists, dance companies and community groups can book the studio for rehearsal and creative development — by the hour, the day or the run of a project.

What does filming at the studio involve?

The space is set up for curriculum capture, showreels and platform content. Film a class, record repertoire or build lesson material for iStéip in a single session.

How can schools pilot the iStéip platform?

Through an enquiry — we run pilots with dance schools and teachers, shaping the platform around real classrooms. The dance practice behind it lives at Tura Arutura Dance.
